Taxation

Tax handled as a planning discipline, with compliance as the baseline, not the ceiling.

Schedule a Consultation

Tax compliance done correctly and on time is the baseline every business needs. What determines whether tax is a cost centre or a planning tool is what happens before the transaction — the structuring decision, the intercompany arrangement, the entity choice — not just how accurately the return is filed afterward. We handle both, but we treat them as genuinely different disciplines.

How we engage04 steps
  1. Step 01 of 04

    Tax health check

a review of the last two filing cycles across direct tax and GST, identifying exposure, unclaimed credits and process gaps.

What you receive

a documented compliance calendar, filed returns and certifications, a transfer pricing study where applicable, and a direct line to the team for any notice or query that comes in between cycles.

Why work with us03 reasons
  • Planning ahead of the transaction

We are involved in structuring decisions before they are implemented, when the tax outcome is still something that can be shaped.

  • Cross-border fluency

Transfer pricing, withholding tax and DTAA treaty positions are handled as core competencies, not outsourced to a separate specialist for every cross-border question.

  • Direct partner involvement on disputes

Notices and assessments are handled by the same people who understand the business's structure, not handed to a generalist compliance team.

What is the difference between tax compliance and tax advisory?
Compliance is filing returns and meeting deadlines correctly and on time — the baseline every business needs. Advisory is the work that happens before a transaction or structure decision is made, so the tax outcome is planned for rather than discovered afterward. We provide both, but the two are scoped separately so compliance never gets deprioritised in favour of advisory work.
Do you handle GST for multi-state businesses?
Yes. Multi-state GST registration, input tax credit reconciliation across states, and e-way bill and e-invoicing compliance are all part of the service. Multi-state ITC mismatches are one of the most common issues we resolve for clients moving from a single-state to a multi-state operation.
What triggers a transfer pricing study, and do we need one?
Any international transaction with an associated enterprise — a parent company invoicing a subsidiary, or vice versa, for goods, services, royalties or intercompany loans — falls within transfer pricing rules if it crosses the prescribed threshold. We assess exposure early, typically at the India-entry stage, rather than after the first intercompany invoice is raised.
We received a scrutiny notice from the Income Tax Department. What now?
Response timelines are short and the quality of the first response shapes how the assessment proceeds. We review the notice, assemble supporting documentation, and prepare and file the response, representing the business through to resolution where the matter proceeds to hearing.
Can you advise on tax structuring for a new investment or expansion?
Yes — this is where advisory work has the most impact, since a structure decided before implementation is far cheaper to get right than one corrected afterward. We advise on entity structuring, holding company location, and repatriation planning as part of both our taxation and transaction advisory services.
